It was incredible to be able to visit Marcodi, the family-business behind the Harpejji. This is different than many other episodes where I own one, and have for years, and absolutely adore the instrument. It's rare that I would be able to visit the workshop of an instrument I absolutely love. I have owned the G16 (which you can see me play during the episode). Some of the songs I played were from previous videos I recorded for my personal channel. So when I learned that I would be driving through the area (with Evan on a summer roadtrip) I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit their workshop.
My first personal wager is that this is biggest pull for my channel, and the highest profile workshop I was able to visit. So I was fairly nervous being there. Their Southern hospitality was both incredibly welcoming and also intimidating, haha.
My second wager is that this is the most popular new instrument of the 21st century. And especially if they can lower the price, this instrument will be synonymous to the guitar in 50-100 years, and we'll be seeing it in quite a lot of bands.
I've been in incredible awe of the talented musicians (who I greatly respect) that play Harpejji so incredibly well, such as Stevie Wonder, Jacob Collier, Corey Henry, and one of the best, Valter Soosalu. It makes me realize I should practice more.
